Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hospital-based experience
• Verified current state Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Comprehensive Specialty Screening Evaluation with a score of 80% or higher
• Completion of annual JCAHO Competencies
• Completed clinical skills checklist
• Current CPR (healthcare provider with AED) certification
• Physical exam or general statement of good health with no work restrictions
• Negative PPD within 12 months or negative chest X-ray within 5 years.
• Proof of immunizations including MMR, Hep B and varicella
• Two above average references or letters of recommendation
• Negative drug screen
• Criminal background check
